Your 2023 Dancer of the Year is Darden Cone!
Our faculty unanimously decides to recognize a Dancer of the Year every year. The dancer who achieves this award inspires everyone with their deep dedication to the art of dance and a strong commitment to the ideals and philosophy of this studio.
Darden is fully committed to perfecting her craft and always comes to class ready to work. Her dedication to the art of dance extends beyond the four walls of JMSD, and she represents us well at summer programs across the country and at conventions and festivals throughout Charlotte and beyond.
She is elegant and graceful - an excellent dance student who gives 100% in every class, shows respect to her teachers, and is kind and generous with her classmates.
A quiet leader, she is focused, attentive, and eager to learn, but always smiling, positive, and energetic in class. She carries that attitude with her everywhere and never misses an opportunity to perform or assist teachers with their classes.
