Nayfe Carreno
Nayfe was born in Miami, Florida and started dancing at the age of 12. She has studied numerous styles of dance including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, high kick, hip hop, and pom. Nayfe graduated from the University of Miami with a Masters of Science in Education and a Bachelors of Science in Communication with majors in Advertising and Sports Administration. She has studied under such notable teachers as Gerri Barreras, Maria Verdeja, Amanda Tae, Karla Briceño, Bertha Lowell, Kristine Stephenson, and Jimmy Arguello from SYTYCD. Nayfe cheered for the Carolina Panthers during the 2012-2013 season as an elite member of the TopCats, where she beat out hundreds of contestants for one of the few coveted spots.
As a teacher and director Ms. Nayfe has led numerous teams to victories at regional and national competitions. She is very excited to be at JMSD!
